The TransBank metacorpus building initiative is making encouraging progress and we are going to present the first major milestones of the project at the workshop Tools and Methods for Corpus-Based Translation Science in November 2018. The two-day training workshop covers the major steps of work with translation corpora.

All texts in the freely available TransBank are to be labelled according to subject domains; therefore we are testing the validity of various subject classification systems using a community-based approach. We invite you to kindly participate in our anonymous online study. Anyone can participate, because the study is not limited to language experts or English native speakers.

Cooperation with ELDA

We are excited to announce a new collaboration: ELDA, the Evaluations and Language Resources Distribution Agency, going to draft the legal framework for the TransBank project. Since 1995, ELDA has accumulated considerable experience in the field of Human Language Technology, including its legal aspects.
